VISCOS LAMELLA is a new electronic viscosimeter for measuring and regulating the inks in print presses. The working principle which is based on the vibrating reed guarantees high precision in measurements. The electronic control attract the reed on the body of the viscometer trough a magnet. To check the viscosity, VISCOS LAMELLA calculates the time from the beginning of the attraction up to the moment in which the reed touch the proximity sensor that is on the body of the revelator. If the measure time is superior than the setting value, i.e. the fluid viscosity is too high, the automatic viscometer opens the correction valve to let the diluent enter into the tank. The introduction of the diluent into the tank is proportional to the calculated error from the viscosity desired. The viscosimeters are constructed with the maximun level of protection, complying to the Intrinsic Security Eexi certificate of CESI.

VISCOS LAMELLA Viscos Lamella has two operation way. In manual mode the system displays the maesured viscosity. The front panel keyboard is used to correct the error by adding new solvent. In automatic mode the system executes a comparison between the programmed viscosity and the measured one. Based on the magnitude of the difference new solvent is added to correct the error. In case of malfuction or lack of solvent the system activates (error signals) visual and sound to alert the operator. For cleaning the viscometers is necessary only to put the relevators in a little tank of diluent.
